2014 Cooking Class Calendar

Our in kitchen classes have all sold out, thanks for the great response! I still have a few dates available for In Home Cooking Classes (I come to your home!) so please contact me directly for inquiries - chefsunshine@live.com

Classes are approximately 2 hours, are completely hands on and loads of fun!  Classes include nibbles, recipe books and take home goodies.  Class sizes are small, usually 8-10, but never more than 12, giving you lots of personal time with Chef Sunshine. All experience levels are welcome.

Classes are $60 per person

September

10am Sunday 14th - Paleo Cooking – Learn how to cook delicious meals and snacks using the paleo ingredients of grass fed meats, wild seafood, organic vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.  - Full

6:30pm Friday 19thFestive Balinese Dinner - Includes traditional Balinese dishes such as kare ayem (chicken coconut curry) gado gado (lemongrass vegetables with peanut sauce) and nasi goreng (fried rice). - Full

10am Saturday 27th – Preserving Summer’s Bounty – Learn how to capture the flavors of the farmer’s markets with freezer jams, compotes and pickles. - Full

 

October

10am Sunday 5th - Gluten and Dairy Free Cooking – Great make ahead dishes from breakfast to dessert! - Full

6:30pm Friday 17th - A Provencal Dinner – French country classics like Soup au Potiron, Boullabaise, and Tarte au pomme. - Full

10am Saturday 25th - Cooking with Mushrooms and Truffles - Chanterelles, Porcini, Lobster, Matsutake – A look at our local northwest mushrooms and how to use them from pastas to soups. - Full

 

November

10am Sunday 2nd - Knife Skills – Learn to filet fish, bone chicken, properly chop and mince! - Full

6:30pm Friday 7th – Cook once and eat for a week – Back by popular demand! Healthy breakfasts, lunches and dinners made ahead so you’re all set for the week. - Full

10am Saturday 15th – Thanksgiving Cooking – Perfect turkey, gravy and sides. - Full

 

December

10am Saturday 6th – Edible Holiday Gifts – Delicious homemade gift ideas for the season. Vinaigrettes, cakes in a jar, and more. - Full

10am Sunday 14th – Holiday Cookies and Buche du Noel – Learn to make the famous Yule log cake along with classic and gourmet cookie recipes. - Full

6:30pm Friday 19th – New Year’s Eve Appetizer Party – Fun and exciting finger foods, small plates and platters to celebrate 2015! - Full
